Lucky

Yesterday was quite a lucky day. Steven took a 3 hour nap! That has never happened; it was heaven. I took a nap, cleaned, and had a chance to read while he was napping. I also made this great banana bread. For some reason I have the hardest time making a good banana bread or cinnamon bread that doesn't come out gooey in the middle. And....we found an apartment! We actually found it a week ago, but we found out that we will be able to move in when we wanted to. So we are moving in on April 24th, and Jacob starts school on the 27th. We are just thrilled to be in there before school, he was going to commute for the first week. And I don't know what it is, but once I know we are moving and have seen where we are moving, all I want to do is move. My day is filled with thinking how we are going to put the furniture and what ways we are going to organize all of our "treasures".

We are moving into a condo about 500 E and 500 N. It is a two bedroom, one bathroom. The kitchen isn't much bigger than our one now, but it has a bar and is open to the living room which makes it seem a lot bigger. And of course it has a regular fridge with a full size freezer. Jacob was ecstatic about that one. Are you ready for my favorite part? A washer and dryer of my very own in the apartment. Amazing! The second bedroom is actually a loft. And it is huge! It covers the space of the kitchen, bathroom, and Steven's room. The condo is also fully equipped with lots of storage, another great bonus! Anyway we are just really excited to move. Let me rephrase that, we are excited to be there and unpacked; we're not so thrilled about the whole moving process.

That's Life

I think life is funny. We've been looking for housing in Provo for a while now, we are moving in April. Last week I found this apartment with a position to manage men's housing. They would pay for our rent and utilities and would even pay $15 an hour for any cleaning or maintenance work we did. Sounds great? We thought so. We went to the first interview and of course blew her out of the water, so we were accepted to the next round of interviews and to see the apartment itself. We were both really quite excited about this for the whole week, until Tuesday. I started to have my doubts and it so happened that I found what seemed to be the perfect condo located right next to campus. So from that point I was more for the condo and Jacob was for the managing position. Tuesday we went to Provo and first went to the condo. The people were incredibly nice and told us we'd have a good shot getting it because we are staying for 3 years. Unfortunately the apartment was VERY small. So we went to the next place thinking we'd for sure take that one now. Little did we know it was going to be smaller and noisier! So much that we couldn't even think of living in there, it was making me claustrophobic. So now we are back to square one, we have some we're going to look at, but are open to suggestions if anyone knows of any.

Then tonight we got in the car to go to Walmart when the car doesn't start. Jacob tried many things, none of which worked. He finally concluded that we needed a new battery; too bad that is our only car. Luckily we have good friends, who drove him to get a new one. Now our car is fixed and my heart is full. I feel so blessed to have a wonderful husband, who knows how to fix our car, or anything else that breaks. I know that I have a Heavenly Father who loves me and takes care of my life. I'm grateful to have the Holy Ghost in my life and the comfort that I feel when my life takes uncertain turns. Boy, life is crazy and great all at the same time! But I guess that's life.
Oh and I'm putting pictures of my two boys with their red hair. Jacob wanted to show that Steven gets some of his red hair from his daddy.

New Pictures

For my birthday I wanted to get 6 month old pictures of Steven and family pictures. We didn't really want to pay someone, so we went to an open park and took these. We didn't get very many good ones of our family, but I like this one. We'll have to go out on another day. But I love the pictures of Steven, I think they turned out really well! Boy is this kid cute!

I love the shifty eyes!

Happy Birthday to Me!

Sunday I turned 23. It's funny how the older you get the more your birthday is just another day; but I had a great day non-the-less. The day before we had a fun day of D.I., pictures of Steven, and Olympics. Then Sunday we had church, ward choir, great dinner, went to a party for Grandpa Hall, (he's exactly 60 years older than I am!). We finished the day off by watching "UP" (I got it for my birthday), ate cheesecake and ice-cream, and played Monopoly Deal. We love this game and recommend it wholeheartedly! Anyway, it was a great day!
