Happy Easter

After an Easter egg hunt at Grandma and Grandpa's, I've concluded I have the cutest boys. The End.

Christopher's Blessing

Here's some pictures of Christopher's blessing a couple of weeks ago. It was a wonderful day with lots of family...and this cute boy!

Enjoying these Moments

Today Steven and I discussed the difference between flower and flour. How does he make those connections?

Ups and Downs

Today has been a true typical day for housewife. It started great with some Wii Fit exercising, and a quick shower. I've been trying to get Christopher to learn how to get to sleep by himself, which unfortunately means letting him cry. Well for his morning nap, he cried the entire hour and a half. Needless to say, I was on edge all morning with Steven; because I wanted Christopher to sleep, but he wouldn't. Then a quick trip to the post office, where Christopher was crying. Yes, people were staring. Then another quick trip to the store, and back for lunch. Steven had his nap, while I fed Christopher and a much needed talked with a friend. Then time to put Christopher to sleep again. After 45 minutes of crying, he fell asleep...for 15 minutes. Then Steven was up. BUT while Christopher was crying, I made rolls. I had a great talk with Steven about turning on and off a baby swing, and all of his silliness in between. And now I'm on walk to see the ducks, with a stop at the library. We'll walk home with Jacob, and the best part is, I have a clean home and dinner ready to pop in the oven. Pretty much a typical day filled with ups and downs, but good none-the-less. I truly love all my boys!

Little Brother, Big Brother, and Their Parents.

Christopher is now two months old and is growing quite nicely. At his appointment we found he's shorter and a pound heavier than his older brother. Man I love my chubby boys! He is really a good kid. He's very patient with his big brother's "love", and with me leaving him to take care of Steven. He's started to smile, which of course melts my heart. I only wish his sleeping habits were more like his brothers; by this time Steven was sleeping 8 to 10 hours at night. Christopher will give me a good 7 hour stretch some nights, but other nights he's up every 3 hours. But I really can't complain with a cumulative 7 hours at night and an hour nap during the day.

I wanted to put on a lot of pictures, but since I don't have the internet at home, and it's taking forever to upload the pictures, so I'll just post my favorites.

Steven is coping with Christopher far better than I thought he would. He LOVES his little brother. He will often look around and make sure he knows here Christopher is, just to make sure he's ok. Steven will be playing one minute and then take a break to lay next to (or on top of) Christopher. I'm not sure if it's his personal disposition to be kind to his siblings or if he has a special connection with Christopher, but he is adorable with him. I love it!

That being said, it seems Steven has matured so much this past month or so. He is starting to talk a lot more and showing us that he comprehends more. I love it. When asked who we follow, he says, "gogal" (prophet). Then when we ask who else we follow, he says, "Eyring....Uchtdorf" He also knows them by their picture as well. It honestly melts my heart. Although he still likes to play by himself and is shy when around other people, he's starting to interact more with little kids. It's fun for me to watch. Steven is such a good kid, I think I tell that to Jacob at least once a day. He obeys us and wants to please us most of the time, this blessing I hopes sticks with him as he grows older. I seriously adore this kid!

For all things considering, I'm doing quite well. The first few weeks were rough; Christopher would cry then Steven would start, and I just couldn't hold back my tears. I thought many times, what did we do? I couldn't handle two kids, how could women take care of 8? But like all things, with time, everything settled down. My pregnancy hormones regulated themselves, Christopher started to get more on a schedule, and Steven got use to having Christopher and share his time with me. Now as long as I get my nap, my days go pretty well. In fact, I love having two kids. I love seeing Steven run over to Christopher and pat him lovingly, or give him a little hug. I love playing with Steven and then look down and see Christopher smiling. Motherhood is tough, yes, but it is so wonderful at the same time. And I guess that's how I'm doing. One minute I think I can't go on, but then Steven patiently helps me make rolls and the world looks a lot brighter. In a nut shell, the last two months have been a little rough, but I wouldn't trade it for the world.

Note: Jacob has less than a month left in this semester....YEAH! It was a hard semester. Enough said.
