October Festivities

This Halloween we had a few fun activities to go to. The first was Jenny and D.J.'s Halloween party.  The boys had a blast!  Except Ryan wasn't feeling well and had to be held most of the time.

Thing 1 and Thing 2!
My brother made these adorable hats for them and they never kept them on!

Superman, Thing 2, Thing 1, and Cat in the Hat
He's flying

Didn't you know Cat in the Hat loves Mickey Mouse?

Crafts!

Superhero's!

Ryan was so tired toward the end
We also carved our first pumpkin as a family (grown from our garden)

We put a candle in it and put it outside.
Christopher started singing happy birthday to it...a new tradition?

Steven got to wear this costume to Preschool!

Jacob's outfit.  True to my word, it's the one time he can dress like this outside of the house.
(though he did change before we went out with the kids.)

Steven and Christopher of course loved trick or treating!
William and Ryan were more excited to walk around outside wherever they wanted!

This hat is coming off!
Jacob, William, and Ryan, came with us to a couple of houses then went back to our house to pass out candy.

Thing 2, Batman, Thing 1, and Superman

Trading their loot

Our friends bought me this shirt, there's another baby on the other side.
I got a lot of compliments on it while taking the boys around trick or treating.  16 1/2 weeks
The Saturday before Halloween we went to a pumpkin patch with my family then back to the Roberts' home for some soup in a bread bowl.  It's always a looked forward to tradition!

Happy Birthday Ryan!

Again I can't believe these kids are ONE!

Another veiw of the cake

This kid went at this cake like a pro from the get go.

And stealing some from brother's tray....this kid is good!

Ryan is such a happy baby!

Ryan is such a handsome easy going boy.  He started walking a couple of weeks after his brother (14 months) but it hasn't slowed him down at all!  Ryan has extendable monkey arms.  I will think that something is safe on the table but have learned that if Ryan wants it, he'll reach it.  He keeps us on our toes.  He loves to explore the bathroom (toilet) whenever he happens to catch the door open.  He likes his baths, but doesn't love it.  He can climb up and down the stairs, and if let outside, he will go straight for the road.  (That's why I don't let that happen much).  He doens't like to wear shoes and can get out of any pair I put on him in 5 seconds or less.  He has started to play with Christopher, where they will both sit and laugh and laugh.  It's adorable.  He also likes to take Christopher's food when the chance arrives, they know how to survive in a house full of boys!  The most common noise from his mouth is "ooo" it's cute.  Ryan can also say, momma, dadda, uh oh, and buh bye.  He is very generous with blowing his kisses, I once told Ryan to say good job to Steven and he blew him a kiss.  He's adorable.  He loves when I get close to his face and tell him that I love him, he'll often return this sentament with a laugh then blows me a kiss.  We are so blessed to have Ryan in our family!

Happy Birthday William!

Where has the time gone?  Here are some updates from their day.

We had some family over for a party.
Presents

Time for cake!

William was unsure for a little bit, but soon opened up to the idea!

This was literally all that was left of the cake.  These kids don't fool around with their cake!

William is a really mellow kid, though is starting to feel a bit jealous what I'm holding or snuggling with anyone else.  He started to walk around 13 1/2 months, and is getting pretty good at it.  He loves to take food from his older brother, Christopher, when it looks good, but will often given Ryan his food during dinner that he doesn't like.  Of the two he's definatly the pickier eater. He hates the bath.  He will cry from the second he gets in to the second he gets out.  He knows how climb up and down the stairs, he learned at church, but is still not allowed downstairs at our house.  He says, momma (when he wants me to do something), dadda, uh oh, and we recently heard buh bye.  He will also blow you a kiss that will melt your heart, and is the best snuggler when he's tired.  We love William and can't imagine a day without him!

Steven's Four

Steven had a birthday in August, and like the cool mom I am, I lost all the pictures that I took on my phone.  So I'll just use newer pictures to tell you how he's doing.

Steven has started to go to Preschool in our neighborhood and LOVES it!  He has learned to write his name and it continues to get better and better!  The teachers assure us that he is doing great socially and educationally. We are sure proud of him.
Here he is walking in; the door in on the side of the house.  For a while he would wait until he couldn't see him anymore then he'd go in, which is okay if I'm driving but not when he waits for 3-5 minutes until I turn the corner while walking.  Funny kid, he does the same thing for primary.
He of course loves eveything sweet.  Here we were enjoying an after school snack, but anything sugar related and this kid will find it and sneak it somewhere to eat it.
He will take naps once in a while still.  I have to take a nap everyday, so while I do I tell him he needs to play quitely or take a nap himself.  This day he made a fort, then fell alseep.
For his birthday his best friend/cousin Luke gave him a Star Wars Angry Birds sticker book.  He still caries it around and wants to look at it.  Who knew so much joy could come from one book?
Steven's preschool went to visit the firestation.  At first Steven was scared and didn't want to go because he thought he'd have to go inside the truck, but we went and he loved it.

Steven is really such a smart, funny, adorable, good boy.  Yes he has his days of being grumpy, but for the most part, he's a joy to be around.  He still loves to touch hair, mainly his brother's and mom's hair.  Apparenlty his favorite food is Macaroni and Cheese, the whole 2 times we've had it, and is getting a lot more picky about what he eats for dinner.  (He'll still eat what I fix, it's just pulling teeth to get him to do it.)  He loves to make up words and then tells me the definition so I know what he's talking about.

We sure love you Steven!
