Is checking on Steven while he's sleeping. Sometimes as we are going to bed Jacob and I race to be the first one to see this little boy's new sleeping position. We always put him down the same way each night, but notice how he is often turned a different way and usually has removed one or both socks. I don't know why I keep putting them on him!

St. George
Last week we went on a family vacation to St. George. We used Priceline to get an amazing deal on a Marriott. We had such a great time! It was fun to have a list of things to do, but have the flexibility to enjoy anything that looked interesting on the way.
These are a few of our favorite things:
We thought it would be fun since we were going down south to check out the couple of D.I.'s that we haven't been too yet. (It's our goal to go to every D.I., only 2 more in Utah!) Our first stop was in Delta, Utah...and boy was it worth the wait! We pulled up and saw this house that had a door on the side where the garage should have been. And this is the D.I.? I couldn't stop giggling, it was so funny to me. But we found some really great stuff that we were looking for. Definitely worth the extra hour drive. We also enjoyed the Cedar City D.I. and coming in third place is the St. George D.I. If you were wondering.
Steven LOVED swimming. When he gets excited he kicks he little legs, so he loved kicking his way around the swimming pool. They had an inside and outside swimming pool, which we mostly had to ourselves. I can't wait until summer, to get him back in the water. Seriously so cute! I wish I could put a video of it on here but it won't let me.
I loved eating out. We usually don't go to sit down restaurants, so I enjoyed every minute. Plus it was fun to have Steven up and eating with us. Our best idea was this celery, he had it for most of the time we ate.
We loved just walking around and seeing what St. George has to offer us. We found this sign and it fit Jacob perfectly!
We couldn't get a good shot of this, the sign said "Life is Good" I couldn't say it better myself!
This is the view from our hotel room. We really enjoyed touring the LDS tabernacle, Brigham Young's winter home, and of course the beautiful LDS St. George Temple visiting center.
On the way home we stopped at Kolob's canyon in Zion's National Park. It was beautiful especially with my beautiful family.
Notice that we are all matching with our plaid shorts.
Aren't my boys adorable?

New Game
So Monday when Jacob came home from work, I desperately needed to get out of the house. Usually I'm good to stay home all day with Steven for a couple of days even, but Monday was not the case. It was raining, so going on a walk was out of the question; and I didn't want to go to a store because I knew we'd spend money. Thus we invented a new game...or Jacob did and I helped modify it. It's a fun new way to get some where!
1. Before leaving randomly choose when you'll turn right or left between 10 or 20 times, for example. LRLLLLRLRRRLLRLR (We chose 18)
2. Choose a destination to try and get to. (We chose Walmart)
3. Cover all of the directions except your next move, that way you can't mentally map out how you'll get there. It keeps you guessing.
4. Enjoy!!!
5. Get yourself a treat at Walmart while your there. We found an easter bunny for 25 cents and some egg dye for 10 cents. Well worth it!

My Hero
This morning I woke up and found around 15 to 20 ants crawling all over the computer. Yes I know they were small, but they give me the creeps! I think it stems from those dreams where the whole floor is covered in insects and there's nothing you can do. You know the ones. Well that was me this morning. I hurried and squished all of them and composed myself to continue my morning news update, when 5 more came out of no where! That's when I had it and shut the computer and did not open it until Jacob got up. And boy did he come to my rescue. He caulked the window where we think they were coming from and then pulled the love seat out and cleaned behind it to make sure and kill the ants that were still alive. It's times like these I'm glad we're moving in 2 weeks.
Other random facts about our week,
Monday: Our car suffered a break down on I-15 on my way to an eye appointment in Draper. To make a long story short, we're grateful some firemen who stopped and helped me get to safety. Now after $600 we are back on the road!
Tuesday: Jacob received an e-mail saying that he was accepted to the Business program at BYU. So now he is officially accepted to the Product Development program! I'm so proud of him.
Wednesday: When getting our oil changed at Walmart we managed to buy Jacob 3 pants, shorts, and 6 shirts for $20. Amazing!
