Before going to bed William will always turn to his left and wait for me to put his blanket on him.
Sometimes there is peace in my heart and home. This day it was with the sunlight coming in, bookshelf organized, and blankets on the floor waiting for boys to sit on them and read books.
Peace is not always in my home and sometimes little boys get a hold of a new container of Bath and Body Works Lotion and dump it on the floor. High note: our front room smells good.
Spencer is such a momma's boy that sometimes when I pick him up, he giggles. It's the cutest ever!
Steven LOVES Max. He is his baby of choice. (Max was the only one allowed in Steven's fort)
We go to the D.I. a lot and sometimes I see moments that stop my mommy heart
Jacob and I are trying to be more diligent with going on dates and decided to take the boys with us. We went out to dinner and then shopping at Sams Club. While waiting for Jacob to get home I thought I'd start teaching the boys what to do when you go on a date. The following occurred:
I told Christopher (who was still in his pajamas) that we needed to get our nice clothes on for our date. He suggested we get on our meanest clothes instead.
All the boys got cologne, while I put on perfume.
I told Christopher I'd even put on a necklace to dress things up. He suggested my pretty headband with a flower instead. How could I resist that!
The boys were pretty well behaved at the restaurant which is always appreciated.
While finishing up at Sams Club I looked at William and Christopher (who were in my cart along with Spencer in the main part) and said that I was impressed with how well they were behaving. But I reminded them that they forgot to tell their date how beautiful she was. Christopher instantly said, "Mom, you are the most beautiful!" And then William leaned in for the sweetest hug! Then Christopher went on to say I was beautiful because of my headband. I looked offended, so he replied I was beautiful whenever I wore my sweater, shirt, or undershirt. The kid can smooth talk his way out of trouble!
William and Ryan are the most curious boys and love to explore and dump everything in sight. I'm not sure what it was this time, though it seems like something small and somewhat sticky.
Sometimes when I've cleaned up during naptime, and take all the boys downstairs to watch a movie so they can't mess it up before Jacob gets home. Pajamas still may be on at 4 p.m.
William and Ryan usually willingly go to bed for naptime with no problems; they just need their blanket and me to herd them and they run to bed.
Sometimes I take selfies with my boys while we watch a movie.
I'm holding Ryan and William's eating chips |
Honey is not easy to get out of carpet. Thanks William and Ryan. They can also be found chugging honey in the pantry. Every time Ryan gets caught he tells me "gross" and yet he keeps going after it.
William makes a cute shopping companion.
Spencer loves to climb over Max. Don't worry though, Max is found climbing over his brother too.
A friend posted on facebook that she had make this FHE board and then lost it and made a new one, only to find the old one. I said I would love it, and a week later after a trip to print off pictures we have a cute functional FHE board! Disclaimer: Yesterday the triplets (William, Ryan, and Christopher) managed to pull it down. Spencer found it on the ground and started eating the pictures. It was sad for me but salvageable.
Our house is often messy, like a tornado hit it. Or maybe 6 small ones. With only 3 songs played I was able to turn it from this:
To this: And then it was clean enough for the boys to play play dough. (Remember this one for later, Cassanda)Small Darth Vaders are WAY too cute.

William and Ryan have a hard time eating their lunch, unless you tell them it's time for bed. Then they'll grab their lunch and head downstairs.
Christopher has added himself into these two's club. He often acts like the leader, and for the most part they comply. Unless they really don't want to then they show him who's the boss. And because of this I have started calling them the triplets because they really are ALWAYS playing together. It's pretty cute, when they aren't fighting or making messes.
Collecting their own Legos |
Max will gladly eat anything that he likes, but if he doesn't like it or isn't hungry. There is no. way. you are getting food into him. Usually he ends up with a face smeared full of food, because I'll put it in his mouth where he will stick it back out and rub his hand on his tongue to try and get as much of it off.
The "big" boys like to give their babies toys during the meal. Sometimes it's so they can steal their food. The oldest four LOVE the Gerber Puffs! I will find each of them sneaking some from the container or emptying it entirely. I've had to threaten them each time I give it to Spencer and Max.
Steven had his first spelling test and he got a 100%. We are very proud of him.
I can't go to the bathroom without coming to find a mess somewhere else. This time they hit the other bathroom. I guess I can be glad the water came from the sink and not the toilet...
William's caught in the act! |
Baby brothers love to splash on the floor full of water! |
I can't sit down on the floor without Spencer and Max finding me within seconds and climb all over me. They are still just army crawling, but man, are they good at it!
These next pictures portray what life is really like for a twin:
There is always someone to play with. Or on.
First piggy backs
Ryan playing with the vacuum
But William wants to too
He tries to just take it
Even if by force.
*Just so you know I'm not a horrible mother. I was sitting with Spencer and Max climbing on me while taking these pictures, and I did stop what would have happen next by breaking up the fight.Steven can be a great helper when cleaning the house. Unless you actually want him to do it for real. He loves to help me clean the bathroom and has started to wash the dishes and loves to wipe down random walls, but if I ask him to pick up after himself. He can't.
