Teamwork

Here at the Morrise home we believe in working together.  William and Ryan have seemed to take this teamwork to the next level recently.  Here are their "accomplishments."  Note:  most of these happened within a week or two.  It was a tough week.

Sharpie writing all over themselves, the couches, the walls, fireplace, shelves, and doors.
I was able to get some of this out, but there is still quite a lot of evidence of their teamwork here.

Raspberry vinigerette I wrote about earlier

The next day it was dawn dish soap all over the nice couches.
This actually came out better than I would have thought.

Our poor Christmas tree.  Luckily we put a gate up and that solved that problem.

Standing on the table and drinking syrup from the bottle.

Cocoa Powder all over the table

Baby Formula dumped all over

Together they got the drawers out of the fridge and took them for rides in the living room

Right after I vaccumed they promptly dumped cereal all over and proceeded to eat off the floor.
Because everything tastes better off the floor.

Baking Powder. This one was hard because I needed it for dinner that night.

Paint all over the carpet.
(This was after I moved them all to the top of the filing cabinet.)

And tonight was more baby formula.  This time they were sneaky about it and moved to the baby's room to do it.  I'm very excited for when we will no longer have to buy these expensive toys for them!

We are learning there is no reason to have sharpies in the home.  Paint should be in the cold storage up on the highest shelf.  We need to have locks on the fridge, pantry, and every door  in the house except their rooms.  As long as we do these things the twin teamwork is kept to building Legos, melting our hearts, and trying to play with their older brothers.

Hereditary

In November, just shy of 7 months, we went into a pediatric dentist to have Spencer's tongue and lip tie clipped (or with laser in our case).

They bound his arms down with a swaddling blanket and he was all smiles to the nurses.

Until they had to put the light in his eyes and give him safety goggles.

It was really sad to watch, but he did great and recovered well!  It was hard for me to keep stretching it every day to make sure the skin didn't reconnect; he really didn't like that at all.  Just as a side note being tongue tied is hereditary, I am, and as far as we can tell none of the older boys are (or at least not as bad).  Once Spencer's appointment goes through the insurance Max will have the procedure done as well...and maybe me if I'm brave enough and we have some cash to kill I'll have it done too.

Tooth Fairy

Back in November Steven came to us and said his tooth was loose.  We wiggled it and it felt like it could come out at any time.  Jacob convinced Steven to tie a piece of floss around his tooth but then Steven got scared and told him to take it off.  Jacob refused but told him to just pull it off himself.  He gave a hard yank and away it came!

And the parents we are we told him the tooth fairy wasn't real.  We could pretend she was real and leave the tooth under the pillow or we could just give him the money right then and there, he chose the second option.

In one morning...

We had knives, forks, spoons, and cheerios put in the milk (thanks to Ryan)

Raspberry vinaigrette spilled on the floor (thanks to William)

(And Ryan)

After lunch I went to the bathroom and came out to find...

William eating right out of the yogurt container

Steven climbing the fridge to get some candy corn

Spencer and Max finding what they can on the kitchen floor

Ryan jumping everywhere with a Spiderman Pez

Christopher playing quietly with himself (he was my favorite today)

Then after getting these two a snack and a quick picture with Steven

I looked over to find these two digging into the yogurt again...

And that my friends, is why during quiet time I snuck two "Elfie Treat" donutes.
