Fun Mom

It doesn't happen often, but sometimes I'm the fun mom.  I was going to mow the lawn before a big storm came, but we started to feel some drops when we walked outside so we decided to just play instead.  It was perfect storm weather: windy, warm, grey clouds above, and eventually big rain drops falling from the sky.  We made plastic bag kites, which really flew!  We actually had some blow away and had to make more.   I was talking to a wonderful friend of mine during the first part, so I wasn't able to get as many pictures when the bags were really up in the air, but I still managed a few.

After playing in the rain for a minute or two, the older boys went in our small bike shed/tents.  And it was here that we took refuge until the rain stopped, not long after.  It was really just a perfect time to indulge in the boys' need to play, get wet, and do something they normally are not allowed to.
