4 Months

Well since Spencer and Max turned 5 months, I should probably get around to writing their stats at 4 months!  At their 4 month appointment Spencer was 17 lbs 8 oz (85 %), 27 inches (98%), and his head is 44.6 cm (99%)!  Max was 16 lbs 6 oz (68%), 26.2 (88%), and his head was 43 cm (85%).  So to sum it up:  Spencer is longer, heaver, and has bigger head; though Max is not that far behind him!  At their appointments we were concerned about a couple of things:  Max would eat 8 oz at one sitting and then only 3 at the next.  The doctor said that's very rare, but obviously he's getting enough to eat, so just let him do his thing.  Spencer was always looking to his left side and it was causing his head to be flat on that side and even his ears to be uneven.  (it was pulling that side of his head more forward than the right).  The doctor gave us some exercises to do with him to help stretch the ligaments in his neck, and hopefully by 6 months it will fix the problem and if it doesn't, he'll have to get a helmet for a couple of months.  Neither one were rolling over consistently, occasionally I'd see Max in a different position, but I suspect most of that was due to scooting.  Both are still such great babies and sleeping through the night with some good naps during the day as well. OH and they love to smile and coo at you!

We found Max like this after setting him on the couch and stepping away for a minute.  He was too cute!

These next pictures were taking over the course of about 10 to 20 minutes times.  It just goes to show how much they already like to move.  Also I just love this first picture of Spencer playing with Max's toes!
